To the Worshipful his Majestys Justices of the Peace
in and for the County of Middlesex in their present
General Quarter Sessions of the Peace Assembled

The Humble Petition of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant
under the hands and Seals of John Scott< no role > and P. Neve Esqr.
Two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace in & for the
said County (One whereof being of the Quorum) bearing
date the 20th. day of Decr. 1798 Elizabeth Christopher< no role > &
her female Child named Martha < no role > aged (one year and-
Ten Months wife of John Christopher< no role > then absoud from
her were removed and Conveyed from and out of the
Parish of Saint Giles in the fields in the County of
Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint Clement
Danes as the place of their last legal Settlement

Your Petitioners conceiving themselves Aggrieved
by the said Order of the said Two Justices Appeal
to your Worships therefrom & humbly Pray that is
you will be Pleased to hear them in the Premises &
Order that the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor
of the said Parish of Saint Giles in the fields may
Appear before you on a certain day to be appointed
to Abide the Judgment & Determination of the Court
touching the said Appeal

And your Petitioners will ever pray
