such confinement he was prevented from
attending this Court pursuant to the Condition
of the said Recognizance to give Evidence against
the said Elizabeth Briton for the felony aforesaid
And this Deponent Lastly saith that of was not
from favor or affection to the said Elizabeth
Briton< no role > nor did he this deponent directly or
indirectly receive any free reward or gratuity
from the said Elizabeth Briton or any other person
or persons whatsoever on her behalf to induce
him not be appear and give jude Evidence against
the said Elizabeth Breton but that the same last
solely occasioned by his aforesaid confinement
and not otherwise.
