Whereas by an Act of Parliament made &
passed in the 36th year of the Reign of his present
Majesty King George the 3d of Great Britain
France & Ireland King Etc Intituled "An
"Act for punishing Making & Desertion & for the
better payment of the Army & their Quarters"
It is amongst other Thing's enacted
[mark] That
for the better preventing abuses in Billatting &
Quartering such officers and Soldiers of the Foot
Guards as shall be Quartered within the City &
Liberties of Westminster
and places adjacent
The petty Constables
Head boroughs & Tything men
of their respective parishes Wards Hambets &
Districts within the same shall at order General
Quarter Sessions of the peace to be holden for the
said City & Liberties of Westminster
& parts adjacent
make & deliver to the Justices then in Open Sessions
assembled upon Oath true Lists signed by them
respectively of all such Houses togr with the
