To the Worshipful His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace in and for the County of Middlesex in General
in Session of the Peace for the said County Assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Church
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Margaret Lothbury in the City of London

Sheweth


That by Virtue of an Order of Removal or Pass
Warrant under the hands and Seals of John Nares< no role > and John
Staples
< no role > Esquires two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
in and for the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the
Quorum) bearing date the twenty sixth day of July 1797 Ann
Norton
< no role > Aged ten years and who (as alledged by the said Order) had gained no
Settlement in her own Right and John Norton< no role > Aged five Years
the two Children of Jonathan Norton< no role > and Felicia< no role > his Wife both
deceased were removed and Conveyed form the Parish of
Saint George in the County of Middlesex to the said Parish of
Saint Margaret Lothbury and delivered to your Petitioners
being the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Margaret Lothboury (the said Justices
adjudging that the lawfull Settlement of the said Ann
Norton
< no role > and John Norton< no role > was in the said Parish of Saint
Margaret Lothbury in the said City of London ) by which
Order of Removal or Pass Warrant Your Petitioners
apprehend themselves to be aggrieved

Your Petitioners therefore humbly Appeal
against the said Order of Removal or Pass
Warrant and Pray that the Benefit of this
their Appeal may be saved unto them and
