To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of St. John of Wapping , in the County
of Middlesex ; and to the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Milton
next Gravesend in the County of kent

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto us, two of
His Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in and for
the said County of Middlesex , (one whereof being of the
Quorum,) by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of St. John of Wapping , that James
Joseph Grigstone
< no role > lawful Son of
Joseph Grigstone< no role > deceased
lately intruded and came into the said Parish of St. John of
Wapping , and is likely tobecome chargeable to the same:
We the said Justices, upon Examination of the Premises
upon Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the same
to be true; and do also adjudge, that the last legal Set-
tlement of the said James Joseph Grigstone
in the said Parish of Milton next Gravesend in the
said County of Kent

WE do therefore require you, the said Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St.
John of Wapping , or some or one of you, to remove and
convey the said James Joseph Grigstone
from and out of your said Parish of St. John of Wapping ,
to the said Parish of Milton next Gravesend
and him to deliver, (together with this our Order, or a true
Copy hereof,) unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the said Parish of Milton next Gravesend
or to some or one of them, who are hereby required to
receive and provide for him according to Law. Given
under out Hands and Seals, the 22d Day of March
in the Year of out Lord One thousand Seven hundred and
ninety Six
