And this Deponent Saith he is informed
and verily believes the said Charles Weston< no role > is intimate
and upon friendly terms with the said William
Forsyth
< no role > and also with the other Appellant James
Mc. Intosh
< no role > And therefore this Deponent hoped and
expected for the reasons before mentioned that the
said Appellants would have Consented to the
Adjournment of the said Appeal but on Monday
Morning last he this Deponent was informed that
the said William Forsyth< no role > would not Consent to
such Adjournment Whereupon this Deponent
Consulted the other Officers of the said Parish and in
Consequence thereof applied to Mr. Mitton to Conduct
the said Business as Sollicitor for the said Parish in
stead of the said Charles Weston< no role > but from the
Shortness of time this Deponent and the other Officers
of the said Parish are rendered in capable of Collecting
and producing such sufficient and necessary Proofs as they
are advised and this Deponent believes it is material
and necessary for there to produce upon the Hearing
of the said Appeal in support of the said Rate And
this Deponent Saith that he hath made enquiry but
hath not been able to learn whether the said Charles
Weston
< no role > might have been met with so as to have Caused
him to be saved with a Sulpana in time to
Attend as a Witness on the Hearing of the said
Appeal at this present Session
