To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex in their
General Quarter Session of the Peace
assembled

The humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Michael in the
Borough of Saint Allan in the County of Hertford

Sheweth


That by an Order under the hands and Seals of Sir William
Gibbons
< no role > Bart. and Thomas Wood< no role > junr. Esqr. two of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex (one of which being of the
quorum) bearing Date the twenty fourth day of October one thousand
seven hundred and ninety five Ann Spriggs< no role > Wife of John Spriggs< no role >
and her three Children, Rosannah< no role > aged about fourteen years, Mary< no role >
aged about eleven years and John< no role > aged about nine years, were removed
and conveyed from the Parish of Staines in the said County of
Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint Michael in the said Borough
of Saint Alban as the lawful Settlement of the said Ann Spriggs
and her said three Children Whereby your Petitioners conceive
themselves to be aggrieved and against the said Order to Appeal

Your Petitioners therefore humbly pray that
a Day may be appointed in the present Session
to hear and determine the Matter touching
the said Appeal

And your Petitioners shall ever pray Etc
