MIDDLESEX .


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session House for the said County ()
on Monday the Fourteenth Day of September in
the Thirty fifthYear of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc. Before
William Mainwaring< no role > William Bleamire< no role > John Hole< no role >
John Bond< no role >

Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Paul
Shadwell Did at the General Quarter Session of the peace held in and for this County in the
Month of April last Exhibit their Petition and Appeal setting forth That by virtue of a
Warrant or Order under the Hands and Seals of William Blackmore< no role > and Herbert Mayo< no role >
two of His Majestys Justices of the Peace acting in and for the said County (one being of the
Quorum) bearing date the 13th. day of March last Mary Thompson< no role > the Wife of John
Thompson
< no role > and their two Children namely Elizabeth< no role > aged 15 Months or thereabouts and
William< no role > aged 6 Months were removed from the Parish of Saint George in the County of
Middlesex to the Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell in the said County as the place of their
last legal settlement whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved which said
Appeal stood duly adjourned until this Session Now the said Appeal coming on to be
heard and the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint
George being solemnly called to come forth and support the said order but not appearing
nor any Person on their behalf and proof being made upon Oath that a true Copy of the
Order of Court for the hearing and determining the said Appeal at this present Session had
been served upon Mr Clement Solicitor for the said Parish It is Ordered (upon Motion of
Counsel for that purpose made for and or the behalf of the said Parish of Saint Paul
Shadwell) that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby allowed, and the said Order
of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside and It is further Ordered that
the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell do
forthwith convey and deliver back the said Mary Thompson< no role > and her said two Children
together with a Copy of this Order unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
said Parish of Saint George who are hereby required to receive and provide for the said
Mary Thompson< no role > and her said two Children until they can free themselves from the charge
thereof by due course of Law.
