William Brown< no role > of Queen Street Hoxton Square in the
County of Middlesex Ink Stand Maker and Mary Pinks< no role > of Queen
Street Hoxton Square in the said County Spinster Severally Make
Oath and say and first this Deponent William Brown< no role > for
himself saith that he was bound over to Appear and
Prosecute the above Named Defendant at October Sessions last
For Feloniously stealing a Wooden Box Containing a
Quantity of Wearing Appearal And this Deponant further
saith that being Ignorant of the way of Prosecuteing
said Defendant, And this Deponent further saith that it
being the time the seveal Persons where on there
Tryal for High Treason at Justice Hall in the Old Bailey
he this Deponent did read a Paragraph in a Paper
Called the Publicans Advertyzer that the SessionHousewas
Adjourned untill the next Sessions Following which
was the only reason this Deponent did not Appear
and Prosecute said Defendant for his said Offence
And this Deponent further saith that from Ignorance
and from Reading the Paragraph in the Public Paper
as aforesaid was the only reason he neglected to
Prosecute the said Defendant And not for any
Bribe, Emolument, or Gain Whatever And the other
Deponent Mary Pinks for herself saith that being a Witness of
the FelonyofCommitted by said Defendant
