To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Saint Margaret Westminster in
the County of Middlesex and to the Church-
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Luke Chelsea in the said County

to wit


Whereas Complaint hath been made unto
us, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
acting in and for the County of City and Liberty
aforesaid (one whereof being of the Quorum), by the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. Margaret That Elizabeth Codd< no role >
Wife of Emery Codd< no role > a Soldier in the
80th Reginient of Fast now abroad

lately inturded, and
came into the said Parish of Saint Margaret
and is likely to become chargeable to the same: we
the said Justices, upon Examination of the Premises
upon Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the
same to be true, and do also adjudge the Place of the
last legal Settlement of the said Emery Codd< no role > and
Elizabeth< no role > his Wife to be in the Parish of St.
Luke Chelsea in the said County of Middlesex

These are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, to
require you, the Church-Wardens and Over
seers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
Margaret on Sight hereof, to remove and
convey the said Elizabeth Codd< no role >

from and out of your said Parish of Saint
Margaret to the said Parish of St. Luke
Chelsea

and her deliver unto the Church-Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or to some or one of them,
together with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof,
who are hereby required to provide for
her according to Law Given under our
Hands and Seals this 29th Day of October
1794
