To the Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Clement Danes , in the
County of Middlesex and Liberty of Westminster , and to the Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish , of Saint Anne
in the said County & Liberty respectively.

Whereas it hath been duty made appear unto me Nicholas Bond< no role > Esqr
Esquire, one of His Majesty Justices of the Peace for the said County and Liberty, that Thomas
Empson
< no role > is now serving in the Westminster . Regiment of the Militia of the
said County, as a Substitute for William Creighton< no role > of the said
Parish of Saint Annes AND WHEREAS the said
Thomas Empson< no role > (as such Substitute) is and from the 24th day of April 1793
has been
embodied, called out into actual Service, and ordered to march, and hath left a Family unable to support
themselves, that is to say, his Wife names Amelia Empson and their
Childborn in Wedlock, under the Age of Ten Years, named,
Margaret Ursula< no role > born ow or about the Eighth day of September 1790

Which said Wife and Child [..] w dwell in the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes , at the House
32 Stanhope Street and have dwell were ever since the said Twenty fourth
day of April 1793
THESE are there, by virtue and in pursuance of the Statute in such Case made and provided, to order
and require you the Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes , to pay to the said
Amelia Empson< no role > towards the Support of herself and her said Childa
Weekly Allowance of [..] Shillings
out of the Rates for the [..] o the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes ; which said Allowance [..]
to be computed and reckoned from the Twenty Fourth Day of April 1793
and to be continued and paid as aforesaid, for and during
such Time as the said Thomas Empson< no role > shall be and remain such
Substitute in the said Militia, and so embodied, called out into actual Service, and ordered to march; and
his Family shall be unable to support themselves, shall dwell in the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes and
the said Child shall be living and under the Age of Ten years but I do hereby direct that the
Allowance for and in respect of such Child shall abate and discontinue to be Paid from the
time she shall Allam that Age

And I the said Justice, by virtue and in pursuance of the said Statute, do hereby require and direct
the Overseers of the Poor of the Said Parish of Saint Ann
from time to time, when and as often as you shall be thereto required
by the Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes , to reimburse and repay to them, all such
Sum and Sums of Money as they shall pay and advance, in pursuance of the Order made by me as aforesaid.
