for an Assault

Thomas Mans< no role > of George Street Foster Lane London Charter house Lane in the County of
Middlesex
Silversmith Maketh Oath and saith that the
Place of residence of the said Prosecutrix or where she might
be found being unknown to the said Defendant William Gibbons< no role >
he desired this Deponent on the first Day of July instant to
call on Messrs. Herne and Peace in Paternoster Row who and
her Solicitors to enquire of them if they could inform this
Deponent where the said Prosecutrix then resided or could
be found and being there told that they did not Know this
Deponent went to Mr. Chetham who id Agent for the said
Prosecutrix to make the like enquiry but could not get
any intelligence of her there And thereupon this Deponent
on the said first day of July Pursuant to the Order of this
Court made herein on the third day of June last left at
the Office of the Clerk of the Peace for this County the Notice
of Trial a Copy whereof is hereto annexed And did
at the same time also leave at the said Office a Copy
of the said Order.
