Charles Hamilton< no role > of Berwick Street in
the Parish of Saint James Westminster in
the County of Middlesex Solicitor for the
Defendant in this Came Maketh Oath and
saith, that knowing the Westminster Sessions
began on the fourth day of July next he concluded
the County Sessions began as usual the Monday on
Tuesday following And on this Day he this Deponent
ordered one of his Clerk to give Notice of Trial to the Prosecutor
and to set down the Cause for Trial, and was very
much surprised to find on his Return that the Session began
this day

This Deponent further saith that he received
Instructions from the above Defendant at the last
Sessions (when he pleaded) to try this Indictment
And the Reason of its not being Tried this Sessions is
entirely oweing to the Omission of this Deponent and
for no other Reason whatever
