MIDDLESEX


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session House for the said County, (by adjournment)
on Thursday the Twenty fourth Day of May in
the Thirty SecondYear of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc. Before
William Mainwaring< no role > ), William Bleamire< no role > , Nathaniel Conant< no role >
Charles Sheppard< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County.

Whereas John Edwards< no role > of Portpool Lane Hath at this Present Session exhibited his as
petition and appeal setting forth That He was on or about the 30th. day of April last convicted
in the Penalty of five Pounds by Joseph Faikney< no role > Esqr one of the Justices of the Peace for the
said County upon an Information exhibited. and Prosecuted by Thomas Hamlin< no role > Charging
that the Petitioner did on the 24th. day of April 1792 receive of William Clark< no role > on rederming the Pledge
hereafter mentioned Onepenny and one halfpenny by way to Profit upon Five Shillings and six pence
therefore to wit on the 17th day of April 1792 aforesaid lent upon a Redge that is to say a Gown
contrary to the Statute A whereby the Petitioner conceived himself aggrived Now upon hearing the
said Appeal and what hath been alledged by the respective Parties their Counsel and Witness in and
concerning the premises It is Ordered that the said Conviction be and the same is hereby Quashed
And it is further Order that the said Thomas Hamlin< no role > do forthwith pay or cause to be paid unto
the said John Edwards< no role > the Sum of Five Pounds for and toward the Charges and Expences by five
incurred in prosecuting the said Appeal.
