The humble Petition of the Church wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of Saint Olave Southwark
in the County
of Surry
Sheweth
That by an order under the Hands and Seals of
John Spiller< no role >
Esquire and T.T. Cotton Esquire two of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace
in and for the County of Middlesex
bearing date
on or about the twenty eighth day of January last past
and made on the Complaint of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Christ church
in the
same County they the said Justices did adjudge the Place
of the last legal Settlement of
Catherine Collins< no role >
to be in the
said Parish of Saint Olave and did require the said
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish
of Christ church
to Remove the said Catherine from their
said Parish of Christ church
to the said Parish of Saint Olave
and did also require your Petitioners to receive and provide
for her according to Law.
That your Petitioners did receive and do now provide
for the said pauper but humbly conceive that they are
aggrieved by the said Order and that the last legal
Settlement of the said Pauper is not in the said Parish of St. Olave
Your Petitioners then fore humbly pray that they may
be permitted to enter an appeal against the said
Order at this Court and that this Court with be pleased
to appoint a day for hearing the Same
And your Petitioners shall ever pray Etc.
