William Berry< no role > late of the same Yeoman for a certain Misdemeanour in unlawfully
exacting taking and receiving from one Edward Cook< no role > of the
parish of Saint Andrew Holborn Baker the Sum of £ 4..4..6
the Monies of the said Edward under Colour and pretence that
he had before that time committed certain Offences against
certain Penal laws(that is to say)that he had before that
time sold divers Quantities of Bread under Weight agt. the
Statutes, which Sum of money was so exacted taken & received
by the said William Berry< no role > for himself and to and for the use of
the said William Brackney< no role > , Thomas Collins< no role > , Harry Morey< no role > and
Benjamin Smith< no role > as and for a Composition with the said Edward
for the pretended Offences abovementioned, without the Ordered
Consent of some or any one of the Courts of our Lord the King at
Westminster agt. the That on the 14th. day of August last.

For unlawfully fraudulently and deceitfully under false
Colours and Pretences exacting obtaining and getting into
their Hands and Possession from the said Edward the Sum of
£4..14..6 under Colour and pretence that he had then lately
before done and committed divers offences against the Penal
Statutes of this Realm whereby he had incurred certain
Penalties and under Colour and Pretence of compounding
the said Penalties so supposed to be incurred by him and
cheating and defending him of the same, on the said
14th. day of August
