Session House for Middlesex
4th. December 1788

Minutes of the Committee appointed to form a Plan for letting the Ground
commonly called the Quakers Ground .

Present

Took into Consideration the Order of Reference to this Committee Vizt. "To
form a Plan for letting the Ground commonly called the Quakers Ground."

And it being the Opinion of this Committee that it will be more
advantageous to the County to dispose of the whole of the Ground and
Premises lately Occupied by the Quakers, and also the Ground whereon the
present House of Correction for this County is Erected together, and as that
cannot be done till the New intended House of Correction shall be entirely
Completed and fit for the Reception of Prisoners.

Resolved that Mr. Hinley be empowered to let the whole or
any part of the said Premises from Year to Year in the most advantageous
manner that shall offer
