MIDDLESEX


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County, (by adjournment)
on Thursday the twenty third Day of October in the
Twenty eighth Year of the Reign of our Soverign Lord
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain Etc, Before William
Mainwaring
< no role > William Bleamire< no role > David Walker< no role > , Thomas Gordon< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas Isaac Garner< no role > Hath at this present Session Exhibited his petition
and Appeal setting forth That He was on the 16th day of July last Convicted by John
Staples
< no role > Esquires upon the Information of one William Pateman< no role > and upon the Oath of
and David Magan< no role > in the Sum of Twenty Pounds for a supposed Offence against the
Glove Act of Parliament for Selling a Pair of Gloves with a Stamps of less Value them
by the said Act of Parliament is required whereby the Petitioner conceived himself
aggrieved Now the said Appeal coming on to be heard and the said John Staples< no role > Esquires
being present here in Court and being solemnly called to come forth and support the
said Conviction but declining and refusing so to do and no other Person appearing for
that purpose and Proof being made upon Oath that a true Copy of the Petition and Order
of Court thereon for the hearing and determining the same this day had been served
upon the said John Staples< no role > and upon the abovenamed William Pateman< no role > It is
Ordered that the said Conviction be and the same is hereby Quashed
