Session House 3d. July 1788.

Minutes of the Committee appointed to carry
into execution the allteration intended to be made in
the Great Room in the Session House.

Resolved by the Committee That the Cornico of the Great Room be
preserved as much as possible

That the Recesses be not executed but the Room to be 42 Feet long with
Timber partition and folding Doors 4 feet 10 Inches wide, to enter next
the Windows, and blank Doors to answer them on the other side.
The Chimoneys to remain unaltered

Batten and Stucco the Walls and paint them light french gray and
the Woodwork a Stone Colour Mr. Rogers to prepare forthwith such
Particulars as may be necessary for persons who choose to give in
proposals for executing the whole work at a certain price

Mr. Rogers is desired to give Notice to any Workman he thinks would
undertake the same, that they may send in proposals sealed
naming what Price they will do the whole work for

And the any other Gentleman do named the same to any
Workman they know of

That the Tontine Room be altered in the Door, Chimney Etc as
Proposed by Plan

Mr. Rogers to make a particular of the painting to be done on
the outside of the Session House and that the same Notice be given
to Workman to send in prices for the Same in the same manner a
for the Great Room such Proposals to be Delivered sealed up on
Thursday Morning as above
