MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County, ()
on Mondaythe Twenty third Day of Junein the
Twenty EighthYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
GEORGE the Third, king of Great Britain, Etc. Before William
Mainwaring
< no role > , Nathaniel Conant< no role > , William Bleamire< no role > , Richard Tayler< no role > ,
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of St. Martins
in the Fields within the Liberty of Westminster in the County aforesaid Have at this present
Session Exhibited their Petition and Appeal setting forth That by Virtue of an Order or Pass
Warrant under the Hands and Seals of William Tyler< no role > and William Gowan< no role > Esqures two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in and for the City and Liberty of Westminster
(one whereof being of the quorum) bearing Date the 30th. day of May last Peter Duffy< no role >
aged upwards of Ten Years therein said to be the son of Peter Duffy< no role > deceased was removed
and conveyed from and out of the Parish of Saint James within the Liberty of Westminster
aforesaid to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the fields as the place of his last legal
settlement whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved Now upon hearing
the said Appeal and what hath been alledged by the respective Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the said Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning
the Premises It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby dismissed
and the said Order or Pass Warrant of the said two Justices is hereby confirmed And it
is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of Saint Martin in the fields do maintain and provide for the said Peter Duffy< no role >
until they can free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of Law.
