MIDDLESEX .


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County, ()
on Tuesdaythe SixthDay of Mayin the
Twenty EighthYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
GEORGE the Third King of Great Britain, Etc. Before William
Mainwaring

Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid, and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint
James within the Liberty of Westminster in the said County Have at this present
Session Exhibited their Petition and Appeal setting forth That by Virtue of an Order
under the Hands and Seals of W. Blackborow and Chas. Triquet< no role > Esquires Two of His
Majestys Justices of the peace in and for the said County of Middlesex (one whereof
being of the quorum) bearing date the Eleventh day of April 1788. Ann Drew< no role > (the widow
of Joseph Drew< no role > deceased) and her three Children namely Mary Ann < no role > aged about Seven
Years, William< no role > aged about five years and Joseph< no role > aged about Seven Months were removed
and conveyed from and out of the parish of Saint Luke in the said County of Middlesex
to the said parish of Saint James Westminster as the place of their last legal settlement
whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved Now upon hearing the said
Appeal in the presence and hearing of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of
the said parish of Saint Luke and they consenting by their Counsel to the allowing the
said Appeal It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby allowed
and the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside And it is
further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of Saint James Westminster do forth with convey and deliver bads the said
Ann Drew< no role > and her said Three Children together with a Copy of this Order unto the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Saint Luke who are
hereby required to receive and provide for the said Ann Drew< no role > and her said three
Children until they can free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of Law
