AT the GeneralSession of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County,()
on Tuesdaythe SixthDay of Mayin the
Twenty EighthYear of the Reign of our Sovereigh Lord
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc. Before William
Mainwaring
< no role > , Nathaniel Conant< no role > , Richard Taylor< no role > , Edward Ready< no role > ,
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Giles in the
Fields in the County of Middlesex Have at this present Session Exhibited their Petition and
Appeal setting forth That by Virtue of a pass Warrant or Order under the Hands and Seals of
Geo. Stubbs< no role > and W. Barrett Esquire two of His Majesty's Justices of the peace for the City and
Liberty of Westminster in the said County (one whereof being of the quorum) bearing Date the
Eighteenth day of April last Rachel Cattle< no role > the wife of John Cattle< no role > gone abroad with her
three children Vizt. Catherine< no role > aged near 13 years by her former Husband Neal Campbell< no role >
deceased who had no legal settlement in England and Margaret< no role > aged Seven Years and
Mary< no role > aged One year and Six Months by her present Husband were removed and
conveyed from and out of the parish of Saint John the Evangelist in the City of Westminster
within the said County to the said parish of Saint Giles in the Fields as the place of the
last legal settlement of the said John Cattle< no role > with Rachel his wife and her said three
Children whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved Now upon hearing
the said Appeal and what hath been alledged by the respective Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the said Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning
the Premises It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby allowed
and the said Pass warrant or Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set
aside And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
poor of the said parish of Saint Giles in the Fields do forthwith convey and deliver back
the said Rachel Cattle and her said three children together with a Copy of this Order
unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Saint John the
Evangelist Westminster who are hereby required to receive and provide for the said Rachel
Cuttle and her said three Children until they can free themselves from the charge thereof
by due course of Law.
