MIDDLESEX .


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County ()
on Mondaythe Twenty fifth Day of Februaryin the
Twenty EighthYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc. Before William
Mainwaring

Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint
Mary Rotherhith in the County of Surrey Have at this present Session Exhibited
their Petition and Appeal Setting forth That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant
under the Hands and Seals of David Wilmot< no role > and Charles Triquet< no role > Esquires two of
His Majesty's Justices of the peace for the County of Middlesex (one whereof
being of the Quorum) bearing date the 10th. day of January 1788 Isabella Delany< no role >
Wife of Samuel Delany< no role > (who hath deserted her) and her Five Children lawfull
Issue (namely Susannah< no role > aged Ten Years, Jane< no role > aged Six Years, Samuel< no role > Aged
Five Years, Elizabeth< no role > aged three Years and upwards and William< no role > aged One Year
and upwards were removed from the parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the
said County of Middlesex unto the said Parish of Saint Mary Rotherhith in the
said County of Surrey alledging the said Parish of Saint Mary Rotherhith to
be the place of their last legal settlement whereby the Petitioners conceived
themselves aggrieved Now upon hearing the said Appeal and what hath
been alledged by the respective Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning the premises It is
Ordered that the said Order or Pass Warrant of the said two Justices be and the
same is herby Quashed. And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Saint Mary Rotherhith do forthwith
convey and deliver back the said Isabella Delany and her said Five Children
(together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
poor of the said parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Isabella Delany and her said Five children
until the can free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of Law
