AT the GeneralSession of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the SessionHouse for the said County, ()
on Mondaythe Twenty fifth Day of Februaryin the
Twenty EighthYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc. Before William
Mainwaring

Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to Keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses,and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas Henry Hall< no role > of Frog Lane in the Parish of St. Mary Islington in the said
County of Middlesex Hath at this present Session Exhibited his Petition and Appeal
setting forth That he was on the Eighteenth day of February Instant served with a
Summons under the hands of Joseph Faikney< no role > Esquire and Joseph Girdler< no role > Esquire then
and still being two of His Majesty's Justices of the peace in and for the said County
(one of whom being of the Quorum) requiring him personally to be and appear before
the said Justices at the Rotation Office at the new Session House on Clerkenwell Green
in the said County of Middlesex on Wednesday the twentieth day of February Instant to
shew cause as well on the complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
Parish of St. Luke in the County of Middlesex as on the Oath of Jane Wilkinson< no role > Singlewoman
why he should not be adjudged the putative father of a female Bastard Child born of the
Body of the said Jane Wilkinson< no role > on the Twenty second day of January last and charge
able to the said Parish of St. Luke And that he attended the said Justices in pursuance
of such Summons and was by them adjudged to be the putative Father of such female
Bastard Child and also to pay to the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of
the said Parish of Saint Luke or to some or one of them the Sum of Three pounds for and
towards the lying in of the said Jane Wilkinson< no role > and the maintenance of the said
Bastard Child, As also to pay the Sum of Two Shillings and Six pence weekly during
so long a time as the said Female Bastard Child should be chargeable to the said
Parish of Saint Luke, whereby the Petitioner conceived himself aggrieved Now upon
hearing the said Appeal and what hath been alledged by the respective Parties and
their Counsel in and concerning the promises It is Ordered that the said Appeal
be and the same is hereby dismissed and the said Order of the said two Justices is
hereby Confirmed.
