At
The Clerk of the Peace Stated to the Court that he had in a
Pursuance of the Order of the Court made at the last Session
Caused advertisemts. to be inserted in the Publick Newspapers
and also the following Circular Letter to be written to the Majestys
Justices of the Peaces
for this County Vizt. (here take in circular Letter)
And the Court having taken into Consideration the Report of the
Committee appointed to prepare a plain proper for a House of Correction
for this County and also the plan for the said House of Correction
It was moved that a Committee be appointed to carry into
Execution the Plans already submitted to and approved of by
this Court, and that it be recommended to the said Committee
to have a strict regard to Occonomy in all theirFuture
considerations on this subject; I that every possible saving may
be made, and every unnecessary expencemay beavoided
which being seconded was carried in the affirmative.
Resolved, That it be referred to a select
Committee to prepare particulars of the Work to be done in and
about the said House of Correction
and to advertize for
proposals for carrying the same into Execution and that the following
Gentlemen be the Committee Vizt
