The Humble Petition and Appeal of
the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of Saint James
Clerkenwell

Sheweth

That by an order under the Hands and Seal
of G: Mercer & John Croft< no role > Esquires two of His Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the said County (one
whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the 22d.
day of February 1786 Jane Peat< no role > This name instance is in set 4794. an Infant [..]
of the Age of 4 Years or there about was removed
conveyed from the parish of Saint Clement Danes
in the said County to the said Parish of Saint
James at Clerkenwell as the place of her last
Agal Settlement whereby your Petitioner
think themselves aggrieved and Appeal to
this Court against the Same

Your Petitioners therefore
humbly pray this Court will
please to appoint a time for
hearing and determining the
said appeal and that all person
concerned may there attend
