Sentiments to this Court It was Resolved that Mr Leroux be desired as soon
as Possible, to draw out his Plan at full length, and exhibit the same at the
next Meeting of this Committee; at which those Gentlemen were more particularly
requested to attend whose knowlege an Judgment in this matter render them
so fully competent to determine concerning the Propriety of what may be suggested
in the said Plan

Adjourned to Thursday Morning February 23d.

The Seventh Meeting was held on Thursday February 23d. 1786 previous
to the business of the County day.

Mr. Leroux produced the remaining part of his Plan, so as to exhibit
the Whole disposition of the intended House of Correction; with a Provision for
the several Classes, and the distinct numbers of Prisoners within the same

At this Meeting It was Resolved to propose that the Building should
be placed as near the Center as may be of the four Acres; set out as marked
on the said Plan next Baines's Row It was also proposed, that the
Lodge be not contiguous to the Boundary Wall, as it might favour the
escape of the Prisoner but that it be detached from it

The Committee having requested Mr Leroux to consider and determine
what time it would be necessary to allow him for preparing his Plans
Descriptions and Estimates, so as to have them in readiness to lay them before
this Court, he was of Opinion that the same might be completed by Wednesday
the 29th. of March, and it was Resolved that the Chairman be requested to
propose that a County Meeting be held on an adjourned day Vizt. on Wednesday
the 29th. day of March next; for a full Investigation of the Proceedings of this
Committee

Resolved at the same time that a previous Meeting of this
Committee be held on saturday the 18th. of March

The Eighth Meeting was held as by adjournment 18th March
1786.
