And Your said Commee for the report

That in pursuance of the Order of Referrence to them made
on the County Day of the last Sepr. they have taken into Conson the petr of
Saml Newport< no role > Keeper of the New prison Clerkenwell who has verified on
Oath the sevl allegations could in the said Petr

That it appears to your Commee that the Legal Fee
forsettled by the Judges & usually paid [..] to the Goaler for the discharge of
prisoners out of the said prison in 5s:6d.

That by Virtue of an Act of parliament made in the 14th Year
of his present Majesty Every prisoner charged with any Felony or other
"Crime or as an Accessory before any Court holds Criminal Jarsdich
"within England Walls agt. whom as Bill of Indictmthas beenshall be
"found by the Grand Jury or who on Trial shall be acquitted
"shall be see at larger wtht paymt. of any Fee to the Goaler or
"Keeper [..] keeper is to take any Fee in respect of such
discharge"

"And in lein of such Fees abolished as afd the Treasurers or
"proper Officers of the Seal Counties [..] shall on receiving a Certificate
"signed by a Judge or Justice before whom such prison shall
