By Adjournment 17th. January 1784

Two Resolution of the Committee appointedon the
County day of this present Session to proceed further in the examination
of certain circumstances relative to the Government of the House of
Correction at Clerkwenwell and to report what in their Opinion
ought to be done in the Premises being laid before the Court of which
the following are Copies. Vizt.

A Motion was made That it is the Opinion of this
Committee founded on the Testimony of the Surgeon and others
that George wind died through NeglectCarried in the Affirmative

A Motion was made That it be recommended to the
General Session of he Peace for this County on the next County day
to consider what Punishment it will be proper to inflect on the
Keeper of the House of Correction for such neglect Carrd. in the Affirmative

A Motion was made that it appearing to this Court the
Committee have not extended their examination to the General
Government of the House of Correction Resolved that it be referred
back to the said Committee to examine into the general Government
of the said Prison and tha the said Committee do meet at this Place
on Tuesday next at the hour of Twelve in the forenoon to proceed in the
said Examination

It is Ordered hat upon sight hereof Samuel Newport< no role > Keeper
of New Prison at Clerkenwell do forthwith return to this Court a List
of the Names of such Prisoners as are now detained in his Custody
for fees only how long they have been so detained and whether any
and whom have remained in Irons.

The like Order Mutatis Mutandis upon John Harwood< no role >
Governour of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell

This Court being informed that Mr. Harwood and Mr.
Newport attended in pursuance of the above Orders Mr Harwood
