To the Constable of the Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate , in
the County of Middlesex , or the Headborough there:And also
to the Contractor employed for the passsing and conveying of
Regues and Vagabonds within the said County; and to all
Constables and other Officers whom it may concern
to receive
and convey; and to the Church-wardens, Chapel-wardens, or
Overseers of the Poor of theParish of Precinct St Catherine
in the County of Middlesex
or either of them to receive and obey.

WHEREAS Jane Sprigge (the wife of Joseph Sprigge< no role > who has ab [..]
[..] from her & left her restitute of Support was
apprehended in the Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate , aforesaid, as a Vagab [..]
Videlicit wandering abroad & begging there & [..]
in the open Air

and upon Examination of the said Jane Sprigge< no role > taken
before me in Writing, and upon Oath; which Examination is hereunto annexed,
it doth appear that her last legal Settlement is at the Precinct of St Catharine
in the County aforesaid: These are therefore to require you the said
Constable or other Officer to convey the said Jane Sprigge< no role > to the Said Precinct
of St Catharine to the House of Correction at Clerkenwell , from
whence the said Contractor is to conveyto the Parish of
that being the first Parish in the none
Precinct, through whichought to pass in the direct Way to the said Parish
ofto which Parish
to be sent and to deliverto the Constable, or other Officer of such [..]
in such next Precinct, together with this Pass and the Duplicate of the Examination
of the saidtaking his Receipt for the same: [..]
the saidto be then
conveyed on on the like Manner to the said Parish of

there to be delivered to some Church-warden, Chapel-warden, or Overseer of the
Poor of the same Parish, to be there provided for according to Law. And you the
said Church-warden, or Overseer of the Poor are hereby required
to receive the said Person and providefor her as aforesaid. Given under my
Hand and Seal this twelfth Day of August1783
