At the General Quarter Session of the Peace holden
on Thursday the 9th Day of January 1783 Thomas Durdue< no role >
Apothecary having Presented his Bill (amounting to £14.12-4
for Payment) for attending the Sick Prisoners in Tothill Fields
Bridewell the said Bill being audited by William Hyde< no role >
and George Reid< no role > Esqr . the following recommendation was
Signed Vizt.

We being Satified of the Diligent Attendance and great
Service of Thomas Purdue< no role > apothecary do beg leave to
recommed that the within mentioned Demands amounting to
£14.12.4 be paid by the Treasurer of the County of
Middlesex Dated this Ninthday of January 1783

I do hereby Certify that Mr. Purdue attended the Sick
Prisoners in my Custody as Apothecary during the time
mentioned in the said Bill of £14.12.4 and that Medicines
more administred to them by his Directions and had Good
Effect some being desparate Cases}
