Took into further considn. the order of prince to inquire in to the conduct of
the coroners of this county in the [..] of their office
Mr. Fellons laid before the Committee the followingpermission
Warrant for the Interment of one Prior who was found drowned
in a Brook in the parish of Hillingdon
Vizt. Whereas I am credibly
"informed by the Report of Richard Butler< no role >
that Prior on the fifteenth
"Instant was found Drowned in a Brook in af parish of Hillingdon
and
"now lies dead there without any marks of violence on his Body.
"You may therefore Bury the body for which this is your Warrant Witness
"my nand this 16th. day of Sepr. 1781.

commee that he had
this commee some information concerning the conduct of the [..] of this County
attended on several Jurys Summoned to take Inquisitions of Death by
Mr. Umfreville one of the Corners of this County that at such times the
Informant was obliged to take down in Writing the depositions of the
Witness Mr. Umfreville not being able to write thro infirmity and having
no Clerk or attendant to take the Depositions, that in one case this
Informant was told Mr. Umfreville declared he would not proceed in the
Inquisition without the assistance of this Informant that this Informant
was not Summoned upon that Inquest but was sent for in the name of
the Coroner did go and the Inquisitions accordingly at the request
of Mr Umfreville andthe restofhisthis inform Neighbours on the Inquest That Some
time this last Summer a person of the name of Pembroke who resided at
the House of a MrEdwin in Cumberland Street
