Vagrants to Mr Adams until further order to the Contrary (which
Resolution was confirmed at the last Session of the Peace holden for
this County) should be Continued in force until the 23d day of February
next

And the said Committee further
Report
That having taken into consideration the order
of reference to them made at the Session of the peace holden for this
County in the month of September last vizt. To enquire into the disorders
"and Misbehaviour complained of by Mr Richards Chaplain to
"New Prison as also into the cause thereof and to Consider what may
"be proper to be done to present the like in future" and Mr. Hall the
Governor of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell and Mr Newport
the Keeper of New Prison assuring them that they would do every
thing in their power to compel the Prisoners in their Custody to behave
Decently and Reverently during divine service It is the Opinion
of your Committee that the further Consideration of the said Order of
Reference be postponed Line die

The said Committee also Report That
having received information that the Benches in the Chapel at the
Prisons are constructed in a very incommodious manner their
being no Alley's or Divisions in the Same that the persons who
are Settred are often obliged with great Pain and trouble to stride
over many Benches which occasioned much noise and was of
general inconvenience They ordered proper Alleys or Divisions to
be forthwith made in the Benches of the Chapel to remedy the above
inconvenience under the direction of the County Survayor

All which the said Committee Submit Etc
