To the Worshipful the Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex in their General Quarter Session
of the Peace for the said County Assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of
the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Martin in the Fields in the
County of Middlesex

Sheweth.


That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant
under the Hands and Seals of that Marsh and Thos.
Edwards
< no role > Esqrs. two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the City and Liberty of Westminster in the County of
Middlesex (One whereof being of the Quorum) bearing Date
the twenty second Day of December 1779. Thomas Benjamin
Chevalier
< no role > , Elizabeth< no role > his Wife and their two Children to wit
Mary Ann< no role > Aged Nine Years and Francis Thomas< no role > aged
Seven Years were removed and conveyed by the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. GeorgeHanover
Square in the County of Middlesex aforesaid from and out of
the said Parish of St. George Hanover Square to the said
Parish of St. Martin in the Fields as the Place of their
last legal Settlement

Your Petitioners conceiving
themselves to be aggrieved by the
said Order or Pass Warrant humbly
appeal against the same to Your
Worships and pray Relief in the
Premises And that a Day in the
present Session may be appointed
for the hearing and determining the
said Appeal.
