Whereas It appeareth unto Us Two of her Maties Justices of ye peace for
ye County of Midds (Quor un) upon ye Complt: of ye Church Warden and
Overseers of ye poor of ye parish of St: Sepulcher in ye sd County of Middx That
Johanna Williams is lately intruded & come into their sd Parish
endeavoring to gain a Settlemt: there, wthout renting Ten pounds P and
[..] or being rated or paying to ye poor there or any parish Rates or
Levys, or giving such Notice to ye officers of their sd parish or to any of
them as by Law sherought: And whereas it also appearerh unto Us
That by reason of ye poverty of ye sd Johanna Williams, & her great
Age & Lameness shee having nothing where wth: to maintain
herself, Shee now is, & unavoidably will continue A great Charge to
ye sd parish of St: Sepulcher if not timely prvented. And Whereas
it further appeareth unto Us upon ye Exaiacon of ye sd Johanna
Williams< no role > upon Oath, That abt: Eleven years ago shee dwelt in
Little Britain in that part of ye Parish of St. Buttolph wth out
Aldersgate wch is in ye Freedom of ye City of London , & continu'd to
will there Three years or there abt; & that during Two years
or there abt: of that time Shee was rated & paid to ye Scavenger
there And now upon carefull & dilligent Exaiacon wee cannot find:
that ye sd Johanna Williams hath gain'd any legal Settlemt: Since;
Wee do therefore adjudge That part of ye parish of St: Buttolph
wth out Aldersgate wch is in Freedom of ye City of London to be the
place of ye last legal Settlemt: of ye sd Johanna Williams< no role > .

These are therefore in her Maties name to require you on sight hereof to passe
& convey ye sd [..] Johanna Williams< no role > from ye sd parish of St: Sepulcher the [..]
& direct way to that part of ye parish of St: Buttolph wch out Aldersgate
wch is in ye Freedom of ye City of London & to deliver her (together wth this
precept) to ye Church Wardens & Overseers of ye poor there or to some or
One of them, who are hereby required her to receive & provide for as they do for
other such poor there, untill they shall be freed from her by due Course of
Law. And this shall be yor Wart: Given under on hands & S: agt his Eight
