That hee this Dept. did pay a Bill of Exchange drawne
on him by James Berry< no role >
of the City of Oxford Malster
dated sometime in June last which was payable to
the Honble. her Maties. Comrs. of Excise
And this Dept.
verily beleives that the mony hee this Dept. paid by
virtue of the said Bill of Exchange was for the
Queenes duty of Fifty seaven Quarters of Malt and-
other malt shipped on board the greate Dove of
Oxford which said Fifty seaven Quarters of malte
perished in the river of Thames
neere Blackwall
in the County of Midd the
Nine & twentyeth day of September last [..]
