Upon the humble peticon of James Lorata< no role > exhibited unto this
Court setting forth that he being borne of Arabian Parents in
the Desarts of Arabia & being brought into the Kingdom of
England was on the twenty second day of March one thousand
& seven hundred baptized according to the Ordinances of the
Church of England and same few days afterwards was
bound Apprentice to one Thomas Richardson< no role > and was then
promised sufficient meat drink lodgeing & necessarys, and
that the Petr. was some short time afterwards sent by the-
sd. Richardson into the sea Service of his late Mate. King
William to redeem another man & with noe more
cloaths than one old coat Jacket breeches a pair of old
stockings & one shirt and that the Petr. hath not had any
other cloaths since or other necessarys, nor hath had any-
more then twenty shillings since to buy cloaths & necessarys
and that his sd. Master or Mistress or some by their or one
of their Order hath reced all the Petrs. wages except the-
sd. twenty shillings & the wages now due in her Maties. ships
the Nottingham & Bridgewater, and that the Petr. might
have perished for want of necessarys had it not been
for some persons who gave him credit for cloaths & other
necessarys for which he stands greatly indebted & subject
to be arrested And that one Richard Aland< no role > hath reced
great part of the Petrs. sd. wages & gives out he purchased
the same of the Sd. Richardson in his life time without any
reserve of the Petrs. haveing any cloaths or necessarys,
and that her Maties. Sd. Ship the Nottingham to which the
Petr. belongs is assigned to goe [..] a boyage to smirna,
It was therefore prayed by the Petr. that he may be
