October Session Thursday 19th. 1769

Ordered to Summon a Committee to take into
consideration Mr Waller conduct in appointing
clerks of Indictments, not qualified.}

Octr. 15th. Summoned another committee for same purpose
22. Summoned another Committee for same purpose
29 Summoned another Committee as before.}

Decr. 19th. Summoned another Committee
Jany 13th. 1770 Summoned another Committee
Feby. 19th. Summoned another Committee}

Summoned Mr. Waller at all the above
mentioned lines, but did not always
attend. Fires at every Committee.}

April Session was after Mr. Waller who did
not attend at either Westminster or
Hicks Halls or did Mr. Carter his clerk
of Indictments.}

May and July Sessions waited on Mr. Waller
many hours at different limes.}

The Court then adjourned to the 15th. of
August when Mr. Waller not attending
was ordered to read the following
proclamation.}

'' James Waller< no role > Esqr . Clerk of the peace of
''The County of Middlesex , come forth and
''Answer the Complaint of Samuel Clay< no role > This name instance is in set 4071. ,
''exhibited against you for divers Misdem
''Middemeanors committed by you, in the
''execution of your office, of Clock of the peace,
''of and for the said County of Middlesex .}

Mr. Waller did not appear.

I was then ordered to adjourn the sessions
to the 7th. of Sept. and to Summons
all the Justices qualified for that day}
