MIDDLESEX .


At the GeneralSession of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks=Hall, in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on Thursday the Fourth
Day of Junein the Eighteenth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King of
Great Britain, Etc. Before Sir John Hawkins< no role > Knight
The Reverend Sir George Booth< no role > Baronet John Barnfather< no role >
David Wilmot< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the King assigned to keep the peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers Felonies,
Trespasses and there Misdemeanores committed in the
same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Luke in the County of Middlesex Have at this persent Session Exhibited their
Petition and Appeal Setting forth That by Virtue of an Order or pass Warrant under
the Hands and Seals of Thomas Cogan< no role > and William Blackborow< no role > Esquires two of
his Majestys Justices of the peace for the said County of Middlesex (one whereof beng
of the Quorum) bearing date the 22d. day of May 1778 Ann madin< no role > the wife of
William Madin< no role > and her three Children that is to sai Mary< no role > aged about four Years
Ann< no role > aged about Fifteen (Months and Bridget< no role > aged about One Month were removed
and Conveyed from the Parish of Saint Mary Islington in the said County of Middlesex
to the said parish of Saint Luke as the place of their last legal Settlement whereby
the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved Now upon hearing the said appeal
and what hath been alledged by the respective Churchwardens and Overseers of
the poor of the Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning the promises
It is Ordered that the said appeal be and the same is hereby dismissed and the said
Order or pass Warrant of the said two Justices is hereby Confirmed And it is
further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
parish of Saint Luke do maintain and provide for the said Ann Madin and her said
there Children until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due Cours of Law
