MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks-Hall, in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on Thursday the thirtieth
Day of Aprilin the eighteenth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King of
Great Britain, Etc Before Sir John Hawkins< no role > Knight
the Reverend Sir George Booth< no role > Baronet David Wilmot< no role > John
Barnfather
< no role > Esquires and other their fellows Justices of our said
Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and
also to hear and determine divers felonies Trespasses and other
misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Sepulchre
in the County of Middlesex Did at the last General Session of the Peace held for the said
County Exhibit their Petition and Appeal setting forth That be Virtue of a Pass Warrant or
Order of Removal under the Hands and Seals of Joseph Girdler< no role > and William Blackborow< no role >
Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the County of Middlesex
bearing date the 13th day of February 1778 William Clay< no role > Mary Clay< no role > Ann Clay< no role > and
Edward Clay< no role > sons and Daughters of Edward Clay< no role > and Mary< no role > his wife (were removed
from and out of the parish of Saint James at Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex
to the said parish of Saint Sepulchre in the said County as the place of their last legal
Settlement Whereby the Petitions conceived themselves aggrieved Which said Appeal
stood duly adjourned unto this Day Now upon hearing the said Appeal and what hath
been alledged by the respective Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parishes
their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning the premises It is ordered that the said Appeal
be and the same is hereby dismissed and the said Pass Warrant or Order of the said two
Justices is hereby confirmed and It is further ordered that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Sepulchre Middlesex Do maintain and
provide for the said William Clay< no role > Mary Clay< no role > Ann Clay< no role > and Edward Clay< no role > until they
can free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of Law
