MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks-Hall, in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on Thursday the thirtieth
Day of Aprilin the eighteenth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King of
Great Britain, Etc. Before Sir John Hawkins< no role > Knight
the Reverend Sir George Booth< no role > Baronet David Wilmot< no role >
John Barnfather< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows Justices of
our said Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers felonies
Trespasses and other midemeanours committed in the
same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Amersham
in the County of Buckingham Have at this present Session Exhibited their Petition
and Appeal setting forth That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the
Hands and Seals of Abraham Aldridge< no role > and Thomas Bishop< no role > Esquires two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex (one whereof
being of the Quorum) bearing date the sixteenth day of January last Philip Chilton< no role >
and Mary< no role > his Wife and their three Children Hannah< no role > aged about four years William< no role >
aged about two years and Ann< no role > aged about three Months were removed and conveyed
from and out of the parish of Ruislip in the said County of Middlesex to the said parish
of Amersham as a place of the last legal Settlement of the said Philip Chilton< no role > and
Mary his wife and their said three Children Whereby the Petitioners conceived
themselves aggrieved Now upon hearing the said Appeal and what hath been alledged
by the respective Churchwardens and Overseers of the said Parishes their
Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning he Premises It is ordered that the said
Appeal be and the same is hereby dismissed and the said order or Pass Warrant of the
said two Justices is hereby confirmed and It is further ordered that the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Amersham do maintain and provide for
the said Philip Chilton Mary his wife and their said three Chilton until they
can free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of Law
