We the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Giles
in the Fields in the County of Middlesex whose names one hereunto Subscribed
Do hereby Consent that the Recognizance Entered into by John Russell< no role > of
High Street in the Parish of St. Saviour in the Borough of Southwark in the County of Surry Butcher
and James Adams< no role > of the Parish of St. George Southwark in the said
County Shoemaker before Philip Dyot< no role > Esquire one of His Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex on the 9th. day of September last
for the personal appearance of John Lee< no role > at the last General Quarter Session
of the Peace held for the last named County to answer our Complaint for
begetting) Rachel Croft< no role > Singlewoman with Child of a Male Bastard Child
baptized by the name of John Lee< no role > born in the said Parish on or about the
Twelfth day of December last and become chargeable thereto may be Discharged
the said John Lee< no role > (the pictative Father) having made Satisfaction unto
us for the Charges which the said Parish of St. Giles in the Fields hath
already been or may be put unto on Account of the said Child Dated
the Twenty Second day of November 1774.
