Elizabeth Hariott Greeve the above
Defendant and Charles Cotterell< no role > of Doctors Commons
London Gentleman Severally make Oath and say And
first this Deponent Elizabeth Hariott Greese for
herself Says That Charles James Fox< no role > Esquire is a
material Witness for her this Deponent on the above
Prosecutions and without whose Testimony she
cannot safely, proceed to Tryal and Saith that she
hath Caused diligent Search and Enquiry to be made
after the said Charles James Fox< no role > for the whole time
of her being in this present Custody and that the
other Deponent as well as others have as she verily
believes made such Inquiry and from their Information
and which she believes to be true understands that the
said Charles James Fox< no role > has been all that time out of
Town on Election Business and will not be in Town
untill the Beginning of next Week and that if this
Honourable Court will postpone her Try all
'till Thursday next she verily believes she shall
be able to have him here at that time and will use
her utmost Endeavours so to do And this
Deponent Charles Cotterell< no role > for himself Saith
That he hath at the Request of the said Defendant
made frequent Inquiries after the said Charles
James Fox
< no role > at the said Wm. Fox< no role > 's House for
ten Days last past and to Thursday last
