I have known Clerkenwell Bridewell 25 years I was
a servant there greatest part of that time and & never
knew of any contagious distemper's reigning there
I have just now been round the prison and find itas
extreamly healthy; [..] Idont believe it was ever more so.

I am a Baker and serve the Prisons with
Bread and have done so for 17 Years I go
myself every day to clerkenwell B, and dis
tribute the Bread Every prisoner receives
his allowanceof Brigd of Breadfrom my hands.There is no distemper
these now
and therefore if there was any contagious distemper
I am the most likely person to know of it to get it, but I never was
affected.At theThere is no [..] Goal distemper in the prison

nar than abt. lidge there never ware abt. 6 ill at the same time the
