To the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of St. Matthew , Bethnal Green , in the
County of Middlesex , to convey, and to the Church Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Carshalton
in the County of Surry to receive and obey,

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto
Us Whose Hands and Seals are hereunto set,
being two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace in and for the County of Middlesex aforesaid
(one whereof being of the Quorum) by the Curch-
Wardens or Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
St. Matthew , Bethnal Green, that Elizabeth Whitbourne< no role >
Wife of Frances Whitbourne< no role > who his gone away and left
her quite Destitute and unprovided for hath come to
Inhabit in the said Parish of Saint Matthew Bothnal Green
not having gained a Legal Settlement there nor produced any
Certificate Owning her to be Settled Else where
lately intruded, and
came into the said Parish of St. Matthew , Bethnal Green,

and is likely tobecome chargeable to the same;
We the said Justices, upon Examination of the Premises
upon Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the
same to be true, and do also adjudge the Place of the
last legal Settlement of the said Elizabeth Whitbourne< no role >
to be in the Parish of Carshalton in the County
of Surry aforesaid
to be in the said Parish of

THESE are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, and by
Virtue of the Statutes in that Behalf, to require you,
the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. Matthew , Bethnal Green , on Sight
hereof, to remove and convey the said Elizabeth Whitbourne< no role >
from and out of your said Parish of St. Matthew , Bethnal
Green , to the said Parish of Carshalton aforesaid
and her deliver to the Church Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or to some or one of them,
together with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who
are hereby required to receive and provide for her
according to Law. Given under our Hands and Seals
this 13th. Day of December in the
Year of our Lord [..] 1773,
