To the Worshipfull Sir John Hawkins< no role > Knight and the
rest of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex Assembled at the General Quarter
Sessions of the Peace holden at Hicks's Hall in and
for the County of Middlesex on Monday the tenth
Day of January 1774.

The Humble Petition of the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of Humberstone in the County of
Leicester

Sheweth.


That by Virtue of an Order of Removal under the
Hands and Seals of Joseph Girdler< no role > and Stephen Clarke< no role >
Esquire two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex bearing date the thirteenth Day of
December last past Thomas West< no role > together with Rachael his
Child aged Six Months have been removed from the
Parish of Saint Pancreas in the said County of Middlesex
to the said Parish of Humberstone as the Place of the said
Thomas West< no role > 's last legal Settlement

That your Petitioners apprehend themselves
to be injured and aggrieved by the said Order

Your Petitioners therefore appeal
against the said Order and
humbly pray that the Hearing
and Determination of them said
Appeal may be adjourned to
the next General Sessions of
the Peace to be holden in and for
the said County of Middlesex

And Your Petitioners shall ever pray
Etc.
