On the prosecution of John Chambers< no role >

Elizabeth < no role > the Wife of John Chambers< no role > of the Parish of Saint
[..] des London the prosecutor above named and John Laidman< no role > of the
[..] ish of Saint Mary Matfelon otherwise White Chappel in the
County of Middlesex Watchmaker Make Oath and say that in October
Session last a Bill of Indictment was preferred to the Ground Jury at
Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid against the
above named Defendants for having Composed together in Order [..]
to accuse the said prosecutor of a Crime Which Bill was then found to be
a true Bill by the said Jury as these Deponents were informed & verily
believe And this Dept. John Laidman< no role > saith that he this Deponent very
lately casually in his Way and the said Francis Rider< no role > who then informed
this Dept that he the said Rider intended soon to go off upon Account
of the said prosecution and at the same time informed this Dept. that he the
said Rider was a Mill wright and could live in any County and that if
he could not be catehed he could not be had or the said Francis Rider< no role > then
expreferd himself in words to that or the like purport or effect And
this Dept further saith that he hath lately made Strict Inquiry concerning
the Circumstances of Benjamin Gilbert< no role > one of the Bail for the said Defts
on this prosecution and was on such Inquiry informed that he is a person
in very low Circumstances and not possessed of any Estate or Fortune but
greatly indebted and had lately been in Good and was then affraid of being
again arrested for Debt which Information this Dept verily believe to be
[..] me And this Dept. Elizabeth Chambers< no role > saith that no notice of Trial in this
[..] Cause hath yet been given to her said Husband the prosecutor nor left for
[..] which this Dept can the better depose this Dept. having resided
[..] ustantly with him in his Chamber in the Fleet Prison for about the
space of two Months last past
