At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden in and for the County of Middlesex at Hicks
Hall in Saint John Street in the said County (by Adjournment)
on Thursday the Sixth day of April in the Ninth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third king of Great
Britain Etc

A Bill of George Smith< no role > Gentleman Governor of the House of Correction at
Tothill fields within the Liberty of Westminster in the County being Paid before this Court for payment Amounting to
the Sum of Twenty seven pounds Fourteen shillings and Eight pence for money
distributed to poor Prisoners there pursuant to an Order of the County Session.
at one Penny per diem And it Appearing that the same Bill had been
Inspected and Examined by Sir John Fielding< no role > Knight and William Kelynge< no role >
Esquire two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County and liberty
whose hands are subscribed thereto It is Ordered that Mr. James Jefferson< no role >
the County Treasurer Do pay to the said Mr. Smith the said Sum of Twenty
seven pounds Fourteen shillings and Eight pence in full of his said Demand
whose Receipt together with this Order shall be a sufficient discharge to
the said Treasurer for such Payment
