Maketh Oath
That on Saturday the sixth Day of June Instant, he this
Deponent did Attend at Hicks Hall
in this Honourable
Court and waited several Hours, form Nine of the Clock
in the Forenoon of the same Day in order to give Evidence
against the above named Mary Large on the above
Prosecution, But being seized with a Gripeing in his
Bowells he was obliged to withdraw from the Court in
Order to Answer the Exegency of Nature on which
Occasion he was Absent only a few Minutes, and on,
his Return found that the Dependant Mary Large had
been Discharged and that he had been called in his
Absence And this Deponent farther maketh Oath
that he did not doe withdraw himself with intent to
Favour the above named Defendant Mary Large in
any Sort; But from an absolute Necessity as above
Expressed, And that he was there Attending to carry on,
the above mentioned Prosecution against the Defendant
Mary Large< no role >
, and would have given Evidence against
her unless prevented by the Misfortune aforesaid
