Robt. [..] Hoole< no role > Clerkenwell Green Butcher That last Monday
afternoon he went up to Holloway to Mr Rose-That abt. 6 when the Race
was over an his Return home the deced call'd him in to the Red Lion
at Holloway he went in [..] they but part of there Pints of Beer That
in the mean Times Mr. Smith Underwood come in & they staid there
drinking till 8 at Night-That coming out to Gottoms monophy
Hackney coach No. 499 paying by was called to who was tired
& Mr. Smith Jnr. Underwood, The Witness & the deced Got in-The
deced Sat Cockwards on the right Hand That in abt. 5 Minuts four
footpads, called to the Coachman to Step, or they wh. Elow his Brains
outhe Steptthe Footpads divided & came on each side the
Coach & demanded their moneyThat the deced damin'd them &
St. he wh. not be robb'd by them & put his treat out of the Coach
& he was instantly that dead by One of the Footpads-That Smith
one of the Comps. in endeavoring to got out of the Coach was knocked
down-The Rogues spen'd both doors & robbed the Witness of 4
9s. & 5s. & Mr. Underwood as he Thinks of upwds. of £9. & his Hatt
Mr. Smith was not robbid-That whilst this was doing, the Body
of the deced fell out of the Coach upon the groundThat after
this the Rogues were not contest wth. what they hast but of
same got into the coach & demanded their watches but they heal
nons abt. them-that one of the Rogues sd.here lias a Man asleep
on the Ground if you dont take him unto the Coach Alehouse
St. Browns out, underwood was forced out of the coach of the deced
was put in dead-Underwood then get in, the Rogues ordd.
this coachmen to dives on with did & stopt at Mr. Votiers
where the Body now lies dead of a large wound as he relieves
wth. sluggs that into the left side of his month.
